Dude, I loved beta testing this for you! I'm really glad to see you finally released it. Amazing game and playable over and over again. 10/10 5/5 great job!
It was really fun, and a big improvement. The physics were annoying though, I died ten times on the wind level.
Really fun game; the black and white style mixed in with occasional color really adds a nice feel. The random spelling error here and there sort of detracted from that though.

ACTUALY THIS IS ABOUT POWER STAR 4! YOU! GAY MAN! STOP KILLIN LUIGI OR I WILL KILL YOU!
It's nice, but there are quite a few things that need fixing, such as glitches. When you're underneath a platform, you can't jump into it and you'll go through. When you're on the edge of a platform, an invisible force will push you off. If you jump over a boss after it has been defeated and jump over it again, your character will talk to the defeated boss while looking away from it, then kill it by slashing at thin air. There are a few others, but that's all I can think of for now.
The graphics are awesome, but that's pretty much all that reaches a standard of excellence. The controls are ok, but combos are lacking. You can punch and kick, yet the most effective way of killing is the sword, so you end up never using the other two melee combat buttons. The grab attack is a waste of time and only useful against one ennemy. Sure, it looks cool, but it takes a lot of energy and you can't attack or move while grabbing. The weapons are really nice and each is different, but the lightning blade owns too much.
The ennemies aren't very varied and combat feels more like fighting moving obstacles. The boss fights are too easy because the boss' attacks are easily dodgable and don't hurt much. Usually, a boss fights lasts less than thirty seconds and all you did during those seconds was run around the arena, then use your sword to bash the boss till he died.
The story is nice though, altough the ending is cheap. Survival mode kinda sucks, because it's all the same ennemies and the number of ennemies per second climbs too fast. The stage changes though, and that's a nice touch.
Most of the platformer elements are lacking, or feel like they shouldn't be there.
All in all, it could be better. I'd tell you to concentrate on one style or the other: fighter or platformer. Or then again you could make bigger maps and call it an adventure game and that would make it ok.
Loved it. There were some glitches that messed up the game for me... and the most basic of things were hard like jumping from a platform to another platform that was like 2 inches away.... because of the way the jumping was designed but other than that I enjoyed it.

do what the guy above me says!seriously mario combat is an excellent game and terrific fun if it online against other people or maybe co-op or something with differ people than mario then it woould be the BEST flash game i ever played on newgrounds.come on make no.2 lol

Very fun game...but I don't really like playing as the villain unless you can win. The whole "GOOD ALWAYS PWNZ TEH EVILZ AND PREVAILS!!!!! :D " ending kinda annoyed me though.

yeah it was pretty damn cool! i beat it and the last character from the last game you now the guy you achually played as WAS achually the finale boss lol that was achually a little surprising and 1 more thing... WTF IS BLACK MIST and also if you make an "Armed With Wings III" can you make it where you combine all the swords together into 1 REALLY BIG AWESOME SWORD cause thatle be cool and also can you make it where he flys or somthing and i liked how you took out the eagle cause the eage was achually kind of anoying and i apreciate you doing SUCH an effor on this one if you ever submitt it on newgrounds im giving it a 10 out of 5 and adding it to favorates anyway keep making games like this! and also can you make everything a lil ,ore easier in your next armed with wings game like uh make it sort of like mario combat and by the way THAT GAME WAS AWESOME TOO!!!! its also on favorats and also when i used III that means 3 VISIT MY WEBSITE AND PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ MY REVUE PEACE OUT RANKED SCOUT!!!!
